Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CyberVigilens collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit this website, contact us, or engage us for services. We have kept it in plain language on purpose. If you have any question about it, write to us at privacy@cybervigilens.com.

1. Who we are
CyberVigilens (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a cybersecurity and managed security services company. Our office is at 2nd Floor, 7-1-67/12, Dharam Karan Road, Near Nature Cure Hospital, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, Telangana 500 016, India.
For the personal information described in this policy, CyberVigilens acts as the data controller. When we handle information on behalf of a customer while delivering services, that customer is the controller and we act as a data processor, as explained in section 8.

2. Information we collect
We collect information in a few ways.
When you contact us or ask about our services, you may give us your name, work email address, phone number, company name, job title, and whatever you choose to include in your message. If you become a customer, we also hold the account, billing and contract details needed to work with you.
When you visit this website, our servers and analytics tools automatically record standard technical information. This includes your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, internet service provider, referring and exit pages, the date and time of your visit, the pages you viewed, and approximate click activity. We use cookies in the ways set out in section 5.
When we deliver managed security services for a customer, we may process security telemetry and logs from that customer’s environment, and that data can sometimes contain personal information, for example a username or an email address in a log line. We handle that information as a processor under our contract with the customer.

3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to provide and manage our services; to respond to your enquiries and give you information you ask for; to operate, secure and improve this website; to send you service messages and, where you have agreed, marketing communications; to keep our records and manage our commercial relationship with you; to detect and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents; and to meet our legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for purposes beyond those we have described here without telling you first.

4. Consent and legal grounds
Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by writing to us, and we will stop the related processing unless we have another lawful reason to continue. Some processing is necessary to perform a contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or to pursue a legitimate interest such as securing our website and services. Where the law of your country applies, for example India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU General Data Protection Regulation, we process personal data only where we have a lawful ground to do so.

5. Cookies and web beacons
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them to remember your preferences, to understand how visitors use the site, and to keep the site working properly. Some cookies are essential and cannot be switched off without breaking the site; others, such as analytics cookies, are optional.
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can set most browsers to refuse cookies. If you disable cookies, some parts of the site may not work as intended.

6. Log files
We follow a standard practice of keeping server log files. These record visits to the website, and the information includes IP address, browser type, internet service provider, date and time stamps, referring and exit pages, and possibly click counts. This information is not used to identify you personally. We use it to analyse trends, administer the site, follow visitor movement and gather broad demographic information.

7. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only as needed, and with the following kinds of recipients:
Our own personnel and affiliates who need it to do their work.
Service providers who support us, for example hosting, email, customer relationship management, analytics and payment providers. They work under contract and only on our instructions.
Professional advisers such as lawyers and auditors.
Government bodies, regulators, courts or law enforcement where we are required to disclose by law, or where it is needed to protect rights, safety or property.
A buyer or successor if our business, or part of it, is merged, acquired or sold, in which case the information would be handled under this policy or an equivalent one.

8. Customer data and our role as a processor
When we provide managed security or professional services, a customer may give us access to data, including security telemetry from their systems. In that situation the customer decides what is processed and why, and we process it only on the customer’s documented instructions. We keep that data confidential, apply appropriate security, help the customer respond to requests from individuals, and return or delete the data when the engagement ends, as set out in our agreement with the customer. This policy describes our own handling as a controller; it does not replace the customer’s own privacy notice to their staff and users.

9. International transfers
We are based in India, and we and our service providers may store or process information in India and in other countries. Where personal data moves across borders, we take steps to ensure it continues to receive an appropriate level of protection, as required by applicable law.

10. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, to meet our legal and contractual obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete it or turn it into a form that does not identify you. Retention periods differ by the type of information and the reason we hold it.

11. How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. These include access controls, encryption of data in transit, least-privilege access, monitoring, and confidentiality obligations for our staff and service providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we work to protect your information with care.

12. Your rights
Depending on where you live and the law that applies to you, you may have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you; to have inaccurate information corrected; to have information erased; to withdraw consent; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to make a complaint. To use any of these rights, write to us using the contact details in section 16. We may need to verify your identity first. We will respond within the time the applicable law allows, and we will explain if we cannot meet a request and why.
If your personal information was given to us by an organisation that uses our services, please contact that organisation first. It decides how your information is used, and we will support it in responding to your request.

13. Children
Our website and services are meant for businesses and professional users, and they are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

14. Links to other websites
This website may contain links to other websites that we do not control. This policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Please read the privacy notice of any website you visit.

15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services or the law. When we do, we will post the updated version here and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will try to tell you directly. The version posted here is the one that applies.

16. Contact us
If you have questions, concerns or a request about privacy, write to our Grievance Officer at privacy@cybervigilens.com, or use the postal address in section 1. We will look into your concern and respond.
By using this website, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.
